Hormetic stressors have been found to influence aging and life span presumably by increasing cellular resistance to factors that might contribute to aging such as oxidative stress.

Red wine contains the polyphenol compound Resveratrol which was identified to promote life span and prevent aging in human.

Gene expression studies in human have shown that resveratol mimics some of the metabolic and gene expression changes of intermittent periodic fasting.

So,periodic intermittent drinking of red wine i.e less than 3 units per day for men and 2 units per day for women is found to improve the cardiometabolic function and promote life span in humans.

(volume of alcohol taken in millilitre multiplied by % of alcohol labeled in bottle)/1000

For example

If you drinks fortified red wine with 20% Alcohol by volume level.

Then,

The volume of red wine recommended per day for men is 150 ml and female is 100 ml.

1.Turmeric


Curcumin is found in turmeric which have hormetic effect on body. So regular consumption of turmeric is found to be anti-aging.
